So, I confronted the scales bright and early this morning and the number is just ridiculously too high. I'll let you know the starting weight next week when I can tell you how much I've lost. Let's just say, the goal weight is somewhere between 25-30 kilos! How did this happen???? Oh well, motivation has set in. Time to shed the baggage and fit into a sexy dress and those Jimmy Choo's....
After the scales, I had a boiling cup of water with some lemon juice and headed to the gym. I did 2.5km on the bike, cross-trainer and treadmill before heading off to a Body Jam class. OMG... I am super sore now but I'll manage. Tomorrow I'll do a cardio warm-up before hitting the weights under the instruction of a trainer (nervous much??)
Breakfast was an egg white omelette with spring onions, leek and celery - so yummy! Every meal is accompanied by a glass of green tea. Also with breakfast was an apple. I felt so full!
I was lucky enough to not be in the office for work today which was a blessing in disguise. So I had some me time. I wrote in my journal, had a few phone chats with some friends and then did some singing practice.
Lunch was a salad with tuna and the dressing is a simple 1TBS olive oil, 2TBS Balsamic Vinegar. Super yummy once again. At lunch, I also had reduced fat greek yoghurt with blueberries and more green tea.
Work this afternoon was great. The kids always manage to put a smile on my face and the staff are wonderful and always have me laughing one way or another.
I beat Andy home this afternoon and we had a really yummy dinner together. Grilled chicken with steamed veggies (carrot, asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower). I added some dill and chives to the chicken while it was just a yummy dinner.
After dinner, we finally took my birthday present out for its first spin. Andy bought me the most gorgeous bicycle for my birthday. We are so blessed where we live to have lakes and parkland all around us and the most amazing walking/bike paths. So we headed off for a "short ride" and ended up being out for a good 40 minutes. It was just so lovely to be in the fresh air and doing something together. Oh and how awesome is my helmet??? It was a birthday present from my Mummy-in-Law. It's so very cool. I love it!!!
Tomorrow will be the first super challenging day. I'm in the office tomorrow morning for work. Hopefully I will feel as good tomorrow as I do today and just power through any temptations or cravings.

yayy!! well done! i totally recommend the morning workouts, it gets you off to the best start for the rest of your day, energizes you, and the more you do it the more it becomes a part of your routine and you don't even notice the time/effort it takes. If i don't run at least 5km in the morning i feel really weird and it totally changes the dynamic of my day!
ReplyDeletewell done keep going!
